A surprise awaits you in the village of Les Lindarets: the famous Lindarets goats! Like the holidaymakers, they've come here to spend a summer strolling around. Children will be delighted to feed these free-roaming goats while their parents enjoy the village's sunny terraces.
The village of Les Lindarets is a must for all families looking to immerse themselves in a genuine bygone world with its ancient chalets, Alpine meadows and celebrated goats!Thanks to the flourishing goat numbers the village is often known as the Goat Village. Just like the valley's visitors, they too have come to Lindarets to while away the summer months. Visitors big and small often enjoy feeding the goats which are free to roam, always curious and definitely always hungry! In addition, Les Lindarets is also celebrated for its great food, with many restaurants offering menus that marry truly excellent cooking with traditional values. So why not make time for lunch on the village's many sun terraces so you can enjoy a meal packed with flavours harking back to times gone by, with local specialities from the Haute-Savoie... Les Lindarets is also a great starting point for many walks in the mountains. The Brochaux waterfall is only 30 minutes from the village... The village also has souvenir shops and fresh cheese on sale from local producers. The meadows offer an excellent place to picnic too.

animals accepted, but there may be a herd of cows on the climb and free-roaming goats in the village of Les Lindarets.
1/ Start just after the bridge at the top right of the Ardent car park (footpath sign).
2/ Go up into the forest, following the path that crosses the ski slope on the right-hand side and then returns to the left-hand side of the slope before re-entering the forest.
3/ Cross the river by the small bridge, climb up into the fields and then continue into the forest to reach the village of Les Lindarets.
