This hike leads you all around the Mison Lake following the the layouts made around this sensitive natural space (tables, benches, fishing pontoons, wooden platform, interpretive signage, etc.).
The Lake of Mison is a sensitive departmental natural area, rich with reed bed, interesting fauna and flora and offers beautiful views of the Alpine peaks. An ideal walk for the whole family! The site is also accessible to people with disabilities.
At the southern reception area (634 m), cross the small footbridge and walk along the dike of the lake. Walk past the "South Digue"(south dyke) and continue on the right bank of the lake.
Along the right bank (640 m), continue and cross the reed bed. Please note that the passage through the reed bed is prohibited during the bird nesting period (from February 1st to June 30th). Reach the "North dyke" for coming back to the road.
At the northern reception area (630 m), walk past the pontoons and information boards and return by the path along the lake to the starting point at the parking lot. Source: www.rando-alpes-haute-provence.fr

The Mison Lake site is a protected Sensitive Natural Area. Passage through the reed bed, on the right bank, is prohibited during the bird nesting period (from February 1st to June 30th)

From Sisteron (15 km) follow the D4085 then the D4075 towards Grenoble. After the village of Mison turn right onto the D324 to Lake Mison.
