Go and discover one of Andy Goldsworthy’s art refuge
From the parking lot, follow the track on the right crossing a ford on the Vançon (be careful if the weather is stormy) and walk for about 400 meters to reach the path leading to the refuge.
At the junction (“Ravin de David” signpost), turn left on the path going up into the woods. The route goes on a sloping ledge where an outlook on the surrounding mountains allows you to see both sides of the surrounding mountains. Further, the walls built with dried stones hold the path up which overlooked a forest of tall pine trees and ends up on beautiful ruins covered with vegetation. Cross the clearing until Andy Goldsworthy’s Art Refuge. Go back to the departure point following the same route.

“The Forest is an extraordinary village in ruins. The houses are a testimony to the beauty of their construction. Its disappearance has scarred this place with a deep sadness: not only have the buildings gone but the memories with them. When they fall into ruin, at least they remain, if only as a footstep. If the stone is reclaimed or if a new building is erected in its place, a new life will take form, but to clear it all is to leave nothing."[Andy Goldsworthy]
