Discover the secret ravine of La Piche, tucked away behind the village of Faucon-du-Caire. A shaded trail will lead you to the rock formations, then to the “Talking Rock” and a pretty waterfall below.
From the church square, head up toward the upper part of the village, behind the last house.
At the intersection (892 m), take the trail that branches off to the right and immediately crosses the Piche stream. Follow the shaded path until you reach an old trail.
Follow this track to the left. A ford followed by a path through a scree slope leads you to a shoulder on the ridge.
At a junction (1,187 m), begin the descent until you reach the bottom of the boulder field. A sign directs you to the right toward the Geopark’s information panel (5 min)
Continue descending into the valley, crossing the Piche stream further down to the Talking Rock overlooking the village (press the button on the Talking Rock to hear a story).
A short winding trail leads back to the trailhead.
Let’s limit our trips and use public transportation and carpooling: zou.maregionsud.fr
Geology, culture, and—why not—a swim are all on the agenda. A Geopark information kiosk is located 5 minutes from the trail (a sign will guide you there) You can press the button at the Rocher-qui-Parle to listen to a story along the trail (information: www.sisteron-a-serreponcon.com)
