This return trip hiking offers a rise on Chabre Mountain and a section on its wonderful ridge. Alongside the ridge, you can enjoy a stunning panoramic view. The shady forest while hiking is also here to please you.
From the orientation table at the Chabre launch site, the ridge walk leads to the Espranons launch site, the highest point on the ridge at 1,352 m. This launch site is known worldwide for its exceptional aerology.
Continue along the scenic ridge, where rocky sections and forest trails alternate. Mostly open, the roller-coaster-like trail winds its way to Col Saint-Ange, a key pass between the Méouge Valley and the Baronnies.
At Col Saint-Ange (1,266 m), return to the Chabre launch site by following the same route.
Let’s limit our trips and use public transportation and carpooling: zou.maregionsud.fr
Bring plenty of water. Discover the Montagne de Chabre, a renowned spot for paragliding. Much of the trail is exposed, and it can get very hot there in the summer.
