12. Croix de Culet - Léchereuse

Description

From the panoramic viewpoint at the tippy top of Champéry’s cable car, you'll skirt the ski slopes, stopping for refreshments at picturesque alpine restaurants along the way.

The snowshoe trails start at the top of the Croix-de-Culet cable car (look for the pink flag indicating the start).

Exit the cable car building and head straight ahead downhill towards Les Crosets. Then, turn left and cross the ski slope (be cautious of skiers) following the marked trail.

At the Refuge du Chaudron restaurant, continue along the hillside reservoir, then take the fork to your left, heading downhill. In the distance, you will see the twin drag lifts between the Ripaille ski slopes and the legendary Chavanette ski slope, otherwise known as the Swiss Wall. Continue down to the Le Toupin restaurant or further on to the Les Marmottes restaurant, partway up the Ripaille slope.

Take the same path to return to the cable car.
