02. Champoussin - Ü Yeü Tsalé

A pleasant walk on a wide path that takes you to a breathtaking viewpoint, with a quaint alpine restaurant further on.

Follow the pink #2 snowshoe signs.

Leaving from the large car park at the entrance to Champoussin, head to the right, cross the bridge, and follow the river to your right. Walk along the hillside, taking in the spectacular views of the Rhone valley and the Vaud Alps along the way. At the site called Tronchay, head downhill, over the Délifrette Bridge and uphill again along the road.

At the fork in the road, you have 2 possibilities :

- Short variant (without alpine restaurant):
Total 2h, 3.9 km, ascent 187m.
Head straight back on the left-hand path, passing below the departure station of the Sépaya skilift to return to your starting point in Champoussin.

- Medium variant (route proposed on our map) with a stop at the alpine restaurant Ü Yeü Tsalé :
Total 2h30, 6.4 km, ascent 315m.
Turn right on the wide path then pass below the Bochasses chairlift departure station to get to the restaurant Ü Yeü Tsalé at the bottom of La Chaux chairlift.

For the variant with a restaurant, retrace your steps to the junction. Take the left-hand path, passing below the departure station of the Sépaya skilift to return to your starting point in Champoussin.

The easy variant path is also accessible to pedestrians (without snowshoes) if there is not too much fresh snow.
