Mountain location
/ Parking at the Roc d'Enfer resort. Plenty of free parking (Route de la Télécabine / Impasse de la Grande Terche)
/ At the lift ticket office, take a one-way pedestrian ticket (or a round-trip ticket for the variant). Summer 2025 price: €5.5 one-way and €7.5 round-trip. Take the gondola lift.
/ On exiting the gondola, turn left to consult the directional sign. Follow the signs for Joranloup and then down the carriage road to Les Plénays.
/ Turn right to continue down the carriage road towards Graydon. Reach the "Le Cornet" sign.
/ Continue straight on towards Graydon (Combe de Graydon and chapel in view).
/ Once you've had a good look around, retrace your steps back to Le Cornet.
/ From Le Cornet, turn right to start the descent towards Saint-Jean-d'Aulps Station. See practical information for alternative route. Reach Les Adrets.
/ Continue down the carriage road towards Saint-Jean-d'Aulps Station. The path becomes increasingly forested as it descends. At the end, it reaches Plans Morets.
/ Turn right down the asphalt road. Follow signs for "Saint-Jean-d'Aulps Station". Arrive at Valletaz d'en Bas.
/ There's a sign indicating that you should take the footpath / mountain-bike path down to the right. Although it's not a mistake to take this path, it's still advisable to stay on the asphalt road, as downhill mountain bikes and scooters make it quite dangerous for pedestrians. Continue downhill along the road until you reach a sharp left-hand bend.
/ Keep to the right-hand side of the road to be visible to motorists. Continue down the main asphalt road. Do not take the path on the right which leads to the "La Chenalettaz" sign.
/ Turn left on the uphill path. The bridge over the stream and the subsequent wooden steps make for a pleasant climb. At the end of the path, rejoin the main road up to the resort. Go straight ahead twice and, after the bend, keep to the left to reach the parking area.
