To bypass the Reculaz Gorges, a particularly challenging route, follow this itinerary that'll lead you more gently to a glacial cirque that's perfect for families. Come and discover the awe-inspiring world of Les Évettes!
Starting from l'Écot, you eagerly venture out on a well-marked and highly promising trail. Once you've found your pace, you savour the gentle breeze that starts to blow as you gain height. Insects and wildflowers give way to the grass of the alpine pasture. Under the impenetrable Albaron and Grande Ciamarella glaciers, you proudly reach the mountain refuge. It may have aged, but it still provides that cherished food stop the children so look forward to. You feel the call of heights. To prolong your adventure, seasoned hikers can go on to a miniature Patagonia by striking out across the inevitable Roman bridge. After a challenging hike that should not be underestimated, the glacial lake of Grand Méan awaits you with breathtaking views. Little icebergs in Haute Maurienne Vanoise? Simply fascinating!
