Les Bois de Melle - Saint-Léger-de-la-Martinière

This hike takes you along forest paths and tracks to discover the Fontaine des Places washhouse, a multitude of remarkable trees, the mare aux canes (duck pond) and, at the start of the walk, an unusual dovecote at Saint-Léger de la Martinière.

Initiated in the 2000s, the walks are now run by the Mellois en Poitou Community of Communes, in collaboration with the local communes. To date, there are 50 of these itineraries, ranging from 1 to 16 km, enabling families, cyclists and experienced walkers to explore the region and discover its many facets (landscapes, small-scale heritage, etc.).
