This loop is of medium level, accessible to children. It's mainly a woodland trail, which is pleasant on hot days. With a 10-minute diversions there and back, you can admire a magnificent view of Lake Annecy.
This loop is signposted by the département in collaboration with Greater Annecy and offered by the Lake Annecy Tourist Office. Signposts are present all along the route (yellow panels and arrows). Accessible all year round, weather permitting.
The 11-kilometre Puisots loop is located on the Semnoz mountain and is part of the Massif des Bauges Regional Nature Park. It overlooks the western shore of Lake Annecy.
You start the walk from the Annecy Tourist Office, but you can also park in the car park opposite the "Les Terrasses du Lac" restaurant. (on the road towards the Semnoz mountain).
With a 10-minute diversions there and back, you can admire a magnificent view of Lake Annecy and the mountains from the Cruet cross. A sign on your left will show you the way.
When you reach Les Puisots, cross the road and follow the Chemin des Belvédères.
At the end of the route you can stop off at the Parc de la Grande Jeanne, and discover some deer.
Remember:
- Bottled water (no water points)
- Snack or picnic
- Trail shoes or hiking boots
- No rubbish bins on the route
- Binoculars for the panorama
