Description

This hike will allow you to discover all the levels of the mountain between a dense coniferous forest and the open summit tundra: it's a thousand colours and a thousand summits! With the bonus of discovering a refuge like no other.
It is when you enter the forest that you will understand the interest of a hike at altitude. Take a deep breath of the undergrowth and don't hesitate to caress the green and humid mosses: it is said to be a source of energy!

And you will need it to reach the Dos de Crêt Voland. Up there, a vast tundra-like plateau awaits you. In autumn, the place is decked out in multicoloured hues.

And what a view! Don't forget your binoculars because with this visibility on prestigious summits such as the Meije or the Grande Casse, you will be fulfilled! And the new orientation table will be very useful for you as the number of peaks is incredible.

On the way back, some ruins of old alpine farms indicate that we are on a high grazing area.

A short diversions to the refuges at La Traie is necessary in this pretty alpine setting where delicious tastings await you, as well as an educational farm that will delight the youngest.
