You may even be able to do some business with him!Le Repaire Louis Mandrin- Mandrin's hideout - is located in Saint-Genix-sur-Guiers, in the heart of the Pays du Lac d'Aiguebelette - Savoie foreland, last place where Mandrin lived as a free man. He was considered as a great smuggler however people have different points of view about him. Either he is considered as a nice smuggler similar to Robin Hood or he is a smuggler murderer who should not be remembered as a Robin Hood. Come and have your say. Indeed, you can travel in time with all your family and get to know a part of French History, follow Mandrin in his last adventure and maybe become a smuggler as well.

Specialities: tomme de Savoie, Dent du Chat, Savoie raclette, tomme de Yenne, goats cheese (crottins)…The Yenne Dairy Cooperative was founded in 1962 at the foot of the Dent du Chat mountain. It collects milk daily from 50 farmers who care for their animals and the environment, located around the cooperative — more precisely in the heart of the Dent du Chat Massif, the Épine mountain range, and the area of the Lac d'Aiguebelette. The herds consist of local breeds: Tarine, Abondance, and Montbéliarde. The variety of flora in the pastures of the Avant-Pays Savoyard (clover, dandelion, etc.) gives the cheeses their distinctive flavor. A range of organic raw milk cheeses, guaranteed free of additives, preservatives, and synthetic chemical colorings, was launched in 1994. The cooperative includes six organic farms producing 2,200,000 liters of milk per year.
