From Le Grand-Bornand, park at the cable car car park or the Tardevant car park and take the Rosay cable car.
From Le Chinaillon, park at the Charmieux car park and take the path that starts next to the Charmieux chairlift towards La Côte to reach the top of the Rosay cable car (about a 40-minute walk).
A good descent on a stony path – make sure you wear sturdy shoes.
From the car park, follow the track alongside the Col de Châtillon ski lift. Shortly afterwards, the well-marked path forks left and goes deep into the woods. At a crossroads, leave the left-hand path leading down to the farm. The path soon leaves the forest and winds its way across the plain to the Col de Châtillon, where you can enjoy the view of the Aravis combes. From here, turn right onto the path leading back down to the Chalet de Châtillon and continue up the steep track towards Mont Lachat, which you will reach in around thirty minutes.
No. Dogs must be kept on a leash due to the presence of livestock.
