Proven on existing GTJ routes, this linear (or almost linear!) route skirts the Jura Mountains, starting at Crosey-le-Petit in the Doubs (between Besançon and Montbéliard) and ending at Arbignieu in the Ain.Nearly 500 kilometers in all, representing some twenty stages (in gîtes d'étapes, equestrian farms, campsites, etc.) for riders wishing to explore the entire route, which can of course be discovered in sections, as hikers wish.
Based on the Jura du Grand Huit and Ain à Cheval networks, this GTJ à Cheval will feature numerous shared routes, escapes and offshoots. It has taken into account all the parameters specific to leisure riding: accommodation adapted to horses, length of stages, diversity of territories crossed... The central part of the itinerary will be accessible all year round, with an "infidelity" to the Massif allowing riders to descend to the plateaux and explore the Jura vineyards!
