Hiking circuit : the Monal from the Echaillon
Description
This is a must-see hike when you come to Sainte Foy Tarentaise! It is an easy itinerary along a very pleasant, magnificent and exotic path.
Map available at the Tourist Office of the resort.
From the P3 car park, continue on the forest road towards the hamlet of Echaillon and continue to the listed hamlet of "Le Monal". Same route for the return.
Please note that the Echaillon car park is not accessible by car. A free shuttle service runs from the Maisonnettes car park in the Sainte-Foy resort during the summer season.

The Hamlet of Le Monal
Site classified under its natural and heritage interest located at 1874 m altitude .. Le Monal is one of the finest examples of montagnettes in Tarentaise, facing the glaciers of Mt Pourri, Monal tightens its traditional chalets around his chapel.Starting on foot from the resort by a forest path, you can easily reach the Monal Site - this hamlet is made up of chalets, mountain dwellers, having preserved all their authenticity of the 18th and 19th centuries - the natural environment of stone and Wood is found entirely in the mode of construction, and the water is also richly present in the gouilles and streams, which snake between the houses.
Climbing site of Le Monal
10 minutes from the listed village of Le Monal, you can experience the pleasure of climbing in a unique setting, between larches and the Vanoise glaciers
