This valley with hilly and varied landscapes, meadows, crops, and woods spans two villages : Longueville and Chalautre la Petite. The charming Méances brook flows through the valley. This rural and bucolic hike will win you over and provide serenity.

• If there are any doubts regarding which path to take, markings take precedence over the description.
• Respect nature and private property.
• Don't litter.
• Avoid routes during hunting season (check with the town halls or the Seine-et-Marne hunting federation).
• Close gates and fences after you.
• Whenever possible, remove any obstacles from the path.

All year round.
1- Leave the car park walk down Rue de Verdun to the right.
At the bottom of the street, turn right, pass under the viaduct and follow it to the right. Pass under the railway bridge.
2- Take the path on the right, which overlooks the premises of the station. Follow the asphalt road to the right. At the bend, take the path to the left. It runs along tennis courts, through woods, follows the wood’s edge and enters the woods again on the right. Turn right and cross the stone bridge over Ruisseau des Méances. Continue 600 m and, at the crossroads of 3 paths, take a left along the wood. Follow the 2nd path to the right.
3- Walk down on the 2nd path to the left and, at the crossroads, turn right. At the next crossroads, turn left, cross theMéances brook and take the path to the right.
4- At the first houses of Chalautre-la-Petite, (opposite, 800 m, is the church and Maison de l'Escargot of Chalautre-la-Petite) walk up the road to the left. At the fork, turn left, walking past the paths to the right, onto the path that leads up to the plateau, follows the edge of the woods and overlooks the Méances valley.
5- At the crossroads at the hamlet of Les Grattons walk up to the left, continue past the paths on the left and walk down in the same direction. Cross the quarry and walk to Avenue du Parc.
6- Turn left and follow the wide path. At the fork, turn left, then right then continue straight at the crossroads. Take the path to the left that enters Sept-vieilles-le-Haut, then take the street on the left. Cross a street and, at the bend, follow the path opposite. It bears to the left.
7- Turn right into the path, towards the water tower. At the fork, go right, walk down through the woods to the road.
