A young river from a geological point of view, the Leyre carries sand, which accumulates in the meanders. Canoeing offers a chance to gently discover this rich and fragile natural area.
This trip takes you through the natural passage between the forest-gallery and the mosaic of environments of the open Delta, between Mios, the starting point, and Le Teich, the finishing point
This stretch of river is subject to the influences of the tide which, during high tides, can slow down the smooth current that carries you along.
The regulations require all participants to know how to swim before going canoeing. This activity is offered to children who can swim, accompanied by their parents, from 6 years old. It is recommended that you contact the socio-professionals who rent canoes in the area beforehand.
