This pleasant hike mainly goes through the stateowned forest of Jouy, taking you past some majestic trees that are sometimes centuries old. If you are discreet and observant, you may see boars, stags, doe and fallow deer and plenty of squirrels.
• Do not leave the marked paths.
• If there are any doubts regarding which path to take, markings take precedence over the description.
• Respect nature and private property.
• Don't litter.
• Avoid routes during hunting season (check with the town halls or the Seine-et-Marne hunting federation).
• Close gates and fences after you.
• Whenever possible, remove any obstacles from the path.

1- From the car park, take the alley round the church and esplanade on your right then cross the street by the portal.
Follow the path opposite for 500m. Turn right and go straight over the crossroads. The street becomes a track, leaves Chenoise-Cucharmoy and heads towards Jouy forest.
2- When you reach the forest, follow the left path close to the edge. After 1km, turn right, walk along the edge of the forest. Take Haute Route on your left for 400m, still on the edge of the wood.
3- Turn right into the forest. Take the second forest path on your left then the first on your right. On the way you’ll see the majestic Ronceaux oak. Turn right to leave the forest.
4- Turn right, go back into the forest and turn left for 1km along the path taking you to the large track. Bear right.
5- Take Haute Route on your right, then turn left onto the second forest path. This takes you to Basse Route. Turn left after 500m and turn right..
2- Come back to the car park the way you came.
