Entre Garonne et Canal

This route is designed for beginners, both for its low relief and its relatively modest distance. It links the Garonne to its canal through a cereal-growing and arboricultural plain. A single climb takes in the valley, the hills of the Landes de Gascogne and the nearby forest.
In 1259, the Count of Poitiers decided to build a fortified town in Damazan. It is surrounded by a rampart and numerous turrets. Its four gates mark the direction of the four cardinal points. Today, it enchants visitors with its colorful facades!
