This tour, starting in Sillegny, is an invitation to explore the surroundings of this charming village on the banks of the Seille, famous for its church known as the "Sixtine of the Seille". A veritable treasure trove, its tempera murals date from the 15th and 16th centuries. Long hidden by whitewash, they were discovered on 8 May 1845 by Abbé Schnabel, parish priest from 1840 to 1891, and restored by the painter Charles-André Malardot.
Built in the 15th century and pierced with loopholes, the church of Sillegny houses remarkable frescos, perfectly preserved and painted between 1460 and 1540. Guided tours are scheduled on the second Sunday of each month.
