Steps
Départ
Départ du panneau « Info Rando » sur le parking du cimetière place du Général Jouffreaud.
Annonay
Descendez la rue de la Croisette. Prenez ensuite à gauche pour remonter par la route jusqu’à une patte d’oie. Suivez la rue de gauche.
Champlong
Un peu plus loin montez à gauche une voie goudronnée indiquée « cul de sac » puis un sentier entre deux murs et rejoignez une route. Prenez le sentier en face qui monte à travers les acacias, châtaigniers, chênes et autres cèdres. On aperçoit nettement les anciennes terrasses de pierres sèches témoins d’une époque où chaque parcelle était indispensable. La montée se fait plus rude et vous rejoignez une piste.
Beauregard
Suivez la piste pour contourner le Montmiandon par le nord. A droite la vue se dégage sur la vallée de la Déûme et les monts du Pilat.
Montmiandon
Poursuivez la montée dans les résineux, passez une épingle à droite et rejoignez le sommet. La table d’orientation à 360° domine à l’est le bassin d’Annonay, la vallée du Rhône et les Alpes. A l’ouest on aperçoit la croix de Chirol. Redescendez par le même chemin.
Les Faillers
Continuez la descente et sortez du bois pour rejoindre une agréable petite route à travers champs. Rejoignez le hameau de Chatinais. A droite vous avez une belle perspective sur la vallée de la Cance. Au fond le Grand Felletin (1387 m) domine toute l’Ardèche Verte.
Chatinais
Montez la rue qui se termine en cul de sac. Suivez alors le sentier pour entamer la descente vers la ville. Rejoignez la route, traversez un lotissement et retrouvez Champlong puis votre point de départ.
