Description
Hike in the Massane Forest Nature Reserve with a breathtaking view at Pic des Quatre Termes !
Descend from the Massane Tower towards Col de la Place d'Armes (rocky outcrop). Head in the direction of Couloumates.
Cross the ford over the "La Massane" river and turn right. A remarkable tree can be seen in this area. Climb up the trail.
The Barraque des Couloumates (refuge) is located in a beautiful beech forest. Also visit the Couloumates fountain. You will be in the heart of the Massane Forest Nature Reserve.
Turn left onto the GR10 variant towards Pic des Quatre Termes.
You will pass through Col des Trois Hêtres, the "Camp des Soldats," and Col des Émigrants before ascending to the summit.
