Le Camp de Bierre is one of the largest and best conserved Iron Age archaeological sites in the west of France.
Established in the Middle Neolithic period on a rocky spur overlooking the Trun plain, this was a fortified settlement protected by a dry stone and earth enclosure wall.
Abandoned during the Gallo-Roman period, the Camp de Bierre is a unique testimony to the history of human settlements in Normandy.
