Discover this wonderful site in which the legend tells of the love of King Arthur and his wife. They settled in two caves on either side of the river. The king can join his wife only after sunset. But one day, when he can't stand it any longer, he goes to see her before nightfall. A chasm in the stream is opened... The king disappears and the queen, desperate, rushes to it.
Remarkable points on the circuit :
0 - Departure : Parking, children's games and toilets. A second carpark a little farther with restaurant with terrace. The path starts with the small bridge and the rocks on the right side
1 - La Fosse Arthour, at the limit of the Manche and Orne rivers, has kept its wild beauty. This 70 m. deep gorge is dug into a rocky bar and offers many climbing routes. At the bottom, flows the Sonce.
2 - The Moulin Foulon takes its name from the crushing and beating of woollen sheets. Foulon mills were found next to an abundant spring and near sheep farms which provided the wool.
3- At the place called "Le Chêne parfait", you can admire a beautiful oak tree, a true natural monument.
4- The path joins the famous GR22 which links Paris to Mont-Saint-Michel in 250 km. This is the portion of the GR of the Pays des Balcons in the South of the English Channel.

The Church of Saint-Georges-de-Rouelley is very old. Inside, there are many statues of polychrome saints. The bell tower was rebuilt after the Second World War
Forest, an extension of the "lande pourrie" forest, a very old forest, situated at the gates of Mortain.
Normandy-Maine Regional Natural Park which stretches from Lower Normandy to the Pays de Loire, covering 235,000 hectares. It covers 149 communes and 4 departments.

The old castle of Saint-Georges-de-Rouelley of which only a few traces of the moat remain at the place called "la Planche Bray". The legend "La levrette obstinée", which appears in the Normandy collections of legends, takes place there
Commemorative stele of Saint-Georges-de-Rouelley, is located 2 km from the centre, towards Barenton. It was erected in honour of 3 American soldiers killed during a reconnaissance mission in August 1944.
