Situated in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of the Cotentin and Bessin marshes, the route runs alongside some beautiful manor houses and passes through hamlets with mud houses, typical of the region, among the most beautiful in the Park. The circuit oscillates between bocage and marshland. A family walk par excellence, the route is easy, with very little difference in height. The paths used are typical of the Lower Normandy bocage, made up of meadows, a few cultivated fields limited by hedges and slopes where streams and sunken paths wind. Various aspects of the traditional architecture of the marshland are present on the circuit. Several buildings without foundations with stone walls and mass (clay and straw) still bear witness to an ancient method of construction known as the "bauge" technique.
