This multi-stage walking tour will take you on a journey to discover the most iconic sites of Swiss Normandy, a region spanning both the Calvados and Orne departments.
This 113-kilometre route can be broken down into six stages, with stops in the towns of Thury-Harcourt (Le Hom), Clécy, Pont d’Ouilly, Saint Philbert-sur-Orne and Condé-en-Normandie...
Along this GR de Pays® – Tour de Suisse Normande, voted the French people’s favourite GR® for 2023, you’ll discover trails offering breathtaking views: Les Rochers de la Houle, the Pain de Sucre and the Roches d’Oêtre… it’s a bit of a climb at times, but you’re sure to fall in love with this route!
Come and explore these hiking trails between Calvados and Orne to discover landscapes that are sometimes unexpected, featuring meandering rivers, steep-sided gorges and mountainous terrain, not to mention the flora and fauna found along the route, such as the otter and the freshwater pearl mussel – both protected species – or even the salmon, which might well end up on your plate during a well-deserved lunch break after all that effort.
