Les hauts de Curcy

The La Métairie Chapel (19th century) is located at a crossroads, where it replaced the former stone cross referred to as the ‘Métairie Cross’.

The Bishop of Bayeux, Odo of Conteville, entrusted the patronage of the church in Curcy, placed under the name of St. John the Baptist, to the Saint-Vigor-le-Grand Priory near Bayeux. A 17th century Virgin and Child hangs above the entrance door which opens under the tower porch.
