A fine group of 14th-16th century buildings, the Château de Kinnor is a fine example of work by the illustrious Norman architect François Gabriel. In the early 19th century, the castle was home to the lovers François-René de Chateaubriand and Delphine de Custine. The estate also boasts two remarkable trees: France’s oldest Oriental plane tree, together with a two hundred-year-old purple beech, referred to as ‘de Chateaubriand’. Guided tours all year round on request.

M. Ambroise Piednoir’s farm is located on exceptionally fertile land on the ‘sunset’ side of the Touques valley. The organic cider he produces there is sure to surprise your palate, such is its wealth of aromas, thanks to the contribution of age-old apple varieties, perpetuated for the past three generations. His Old Reserve Pays d’Auge calvados, also made from organically-grown apples and the typicity of which is sure to charm your taste buds, is produced according to traditional family distilling practices.
