Description
Remains of millstones. A refreshing walk along the Planay torrent in a landscape of forests, meadows and alpine pastures.
Moulin Contant, the place where farmers used to gather to grind their wheat. Easy walk.
Follow the tarmac road for 200m until you reach the first perpendicular fork in the road; the path then crosses two fields to arrive at the edge of the forest that hangs over the Planay torrent. Descent slightly by 50m, cross the bridge and you have arrived at Moulin Contant.
Remains of millstones in the grazing lands on your left, not far from the former farm. Continue along the path that goes beside the torrent in the direction of Planay following the signposts. The path rises into a meadow to reach the road that takes you to the picturesque village of Planay.
Continue on your right and cross the bridge. Follow the path to the right in the direction of Bacré farm. Continue by the hedge-lined path that will take you back to the starting point.

Start: parking lot in front of the Chalet de la Livraz
1/ Follow the paved road for 200 m to the first crossroads perpendicular to the road; turn left and the path crosses two fields to reach the edge of the forest overlooking the Planay stream.
2/ Then descend slightly for 50 m and cross the bridge. You are now at the Moulin Contant. Remains of millstones in the meadow on the left, not far from the old farmhouse.
3/ Continue along the path along the creek in the direction of Le Planay, following the signs there. The path climbs through the meadow and reaches the road leading to the picturesque village of Le Planay.
4/ From Le Planay, turn right and cross the bridge. Follow the path to the right towards the Bacré farm.
5/ From Bacré farm, descend along the hedgerow-lined path back to the starting point.
