

A hike around the Forts and the discovery of the charming village of Cosprons. The Madeloc Tower as a bonus.
From the Tourist Office, go right and go up to Place de la Castellane. Take straight on Strategic Route.
Turn right onto Chemin du Val de Pintes.
At the height of the dam, turn right on the vineyard route.
Arrive on Chemin del Coll de Mala Cara, turn left towards Fort Dugommier. At the fort, take the direction of Coll d'en Raixat.
At the crossroads, take the path on the left towards the Col de la Mala Cara.
At Col de la Mala Cara, turn right towards Col de Mollo.
At the Col de Mollo, go straight on the path which goes up to the Taillefer barracks then to the Col de Taillefer. Then go up to the Madeloc Tower.
Go down the tower via the tarmac road, passing the Batteries 500.
At this point, turn right onto Route des Crêtes and pass in front of the Batterie de la Galline.
Continue towards the village of Cosprons where you will pass in front of the “La Guinelle” vinegar factory .
Arrived in the village of Cosprons, take the direction of the chapel and the water tower. Cross the ford and take the uphill path, the mule drivers path. (yellow markings) towards Coll de Perdiguer.
Then go down towards the roundabout of the D914.
Cross the roundabout and turn left onto the path which follows the rails and overlooks the Port-Vendres station, pass the tunnel and arrive at the station. Go on Route Stratégique then towards Place de la Castellane and join the Tourist Office.

It is a difficult Loop allowing to discover the local defense system. The village of Cosprons at the end of the route is a pleasant surprise. The view and vegetation throughout the circuit are additional assets.
