Walk up towards the entrance to the village. Follow the road as far as the hairpin bend, then head towards the village of La Jairaz.
Just after the bridge, turn right onto the path leading through the woods to the village of La Jairaz.
After visiting the charming village of La Jairaz, go down the main road and continue to the right along the level road as far as the old saw mill.
From the old saw mill (with the water wheel), cross the bridge over the mountain stream. Follow the path opposite up as far as the “four paths” crossroad. Go past the level path over the mountain stream on the left and carry on opposite along the path leading up into the valley. You will arrive near a small
bridge (20 minutes after leaving La Jairaz). Cross the bridge and then walk up along a little, winding footpath beside a clearing on the left.
The path levels off in the forest in the opposite direction to the outward journey. At the crossroads of the
footpaths, go down as far as the fields overlooking the village of Montcharvet (15 minutes)
In the village (one permanent household), walk through the ruins and take a small steep path that goes back down near the Rosière mountain stream. When you arrive at a large path, turn left, cross the bridge over the mountain stream and then come back near the old saw mill.
