This atypical walk takes you from the SNCB and TEC station to the arboretum. You will walk along small asphalt roads and beautiful stone paths, through village, agricultural and forest landscapes.
It was set up in the communal woods in 1914. The topography of the site consists of a plateau rising to an altitude of 420 metres, with a slight gradient of around 5% to the north-west. Over a total area of 4 ha 70 a, visitors can discover no fewer than 81 species, including 46 resinous trees, originating from temperate Europe, North America and South-East Asia. The age, quality and diversity of the woody material, as well as the star-shaped layout of its paths, give it a very high aesthetic value. The arboretum can be reached by heading towards the Chapelle Sainte-Barbe and the Château des Fées. The arboretum is located on the B1 and B2 walks shown on the IGN map entitled "Bertrix-Herbeumont".
