From the Namur Fens to Doische

This stretch of the itinerary starts on a promontory overlooking the valley on the outskirts of the Fens. The village of Soulme is far removed from the hustle and bustle of main roads and is listed as one of the ‘Most Beautiful Villages in Wallonia’. You will be charmed by all of its traditional farmhouses and homes dating primarily from the 18th and 19th centuries. The route plunges into the beautiful Hermeton Valley and along the stream, before climbing up towards the plateau. There is a beautiful view of the stunning 18th-century mill in the hollow of the woods. You reach the Chevauchée trail in the Pays des Lacs region north of the village of Doische. You will encounter charming buildings full of character and several remarkable trees.
