Trail 7 - Carenage River Trail to Netcha Loops

Whether you're with friends, solo, or with a partner, indulge in a swim away from prying eyes in this charming spot where time seems to stand still…For those looking to take a refreshing plunge, this little-known waterhole, hidden from most Caledonians venturing into the Grand Sud, is the perfect destination! Choose this beautiful, secluded oasis and embark on a quest for the "Lovers' Waterhole," which reveals itself only to the most curious. Start your adventure from the trails 4 and 7 of the Netcha Loops, where you can leave your vehicle. Cross the road, walk 500 meters, and... you’ll be there! Upon your arrival, you’ll be captivated by the mysterious atmosphere of the place. You may feel as if you can glimpse what looks like translucent volcanic lava beneath the water. Don’t worry, it's just an illusion! Instead, let yourself unwind and enjoy this intimate spot for a friendly or romantic moment. Happy exploring !

The trails are freely accessible, the starting points are located all along the Route du Carénage. There is no mountain bike rental on site, please bring your own mountain bike and helmet.9 mountain bike trails are available: 2 green (very easy): Creek Trail (3.4 km) and Pine Trail (4.9 km) 3 blue (easy to medium): Creek Pernod Trail (13.7 km), Panoramic Trail (option 17.6 km, or option through the pass 18.7 km) and Mountain Kaori Trail (9.4 km) 2 red (difficult): Rivière des Lacs trail (23.78 km) and Grand Lac trail (21.2 km) 2 black (very difficult): Rivière du Carénage trail (12.4 km) and Plaine des Lacs trail (32.7 km) A total of 139 km of marked mountain bike trails.
