
Immerse yourself in the heart of the forest of Coulmes, on the paths formerly frequented by the "Charbonniers" formerly very present on this massif.
Departure from the Col de Romeyère (car park) take about 150 meters on the road north towards Pas du Follet-Bois de Neurre 2, before turning on the left to climb into a field then into the forest and reach the Bois de Neurre 1. From there, continue until the Pas du Follet, a remarkable view towards the neighboring town of Malleval-en-Vercors and the Isère plain. Consider returning to the Col de Romeyère by retracing your steps to take the Bois de Neurre towards Rencurel, following the yellow-red markings of the Tour des Coulmes. Join the Lapiaz 3 (where we leave the Tour des Coulmes) and then Le Belvédère 4, to finish the walk along the forest road of Mont Noir.

Use the passageways to cross the fences, close the gates and barriers.Stay on the marked paths is also respect private property.
Parking at the Col de Romeyère
From Saint-Gervais, take the Canyon des Ecouges by the D35 and the Col de Romeyère. From Pont-en-Royans, follow the Gorges de la Bourne via the D531 until the Balme-de-Rencurel, from there take the direction of the Col de Romeyère by the D35.From Villard-de-Lans take the direction of the Gorges de la Bourne by the D531 until the Balme-de-Rencurel, from there take the direction of the Col de Romeyère by the D35.
