


The climb up the Portillon Pass through the pine trees will not leave you indifferent. It is a Category 1 pass (average gradient 6.8%, maximum gradient 8.2%).
From there, you will take From Marignac station, turn right towards Saint-Béat-Lez and then Spain to reach the foot of the Portillon pass at the exit of Bossost. At the top, descend towards Luchon and then return to Marignac via the D 125C and D 125.
Each bend in the climb up the Col du Portillon honours one of the Spanish winners of the Tour de France, with a stele summarising their victories. The view is worth stopping for a moment to contemplate.
1 - From Marignac station, turn left towards St-Béat-Lez / Spain (D44 then N 125)
2 - Drive through St-Béat-Lez and continue straight towards Spain (N 125).
3 - Drive through the villages of Les and Bossost (N 230).
4 - On leaving Bossost, turn right towards Luchon/France (N 141).
5 - After passing through Luchon, follow the D 125 to Cierp-Gaud. At the roundabout, turn right and you will arrive at Marignac station.
