The Step of Outray

A beautiful and quiet hike, on the heights of Beaufort with a magnificent view on the village.

From Beaufort, take the direction of Roselend, on 3km, take that of the hamlet of Les Villes Dessous, and just before the hamlet of Les Villes Dessus, take the narrow road to the right, for 4 km until the car park of Plan du Mont.
- By foot, take the trail on your right, after 20 meters : on the left. Climb in the forest (up to 1800m altitude) then on the mountainside, and then reach a large scree under the mountain of Outray (2181m).
Arrival at Outray at 2182m altitude, the point of view is magnificent!
Continue for 500meters until you reach the Abri des 3 Moineaux, where you can see a superb alpine pasture, now occupied by flocks of sheep.
