Mountain bike route n° 2 - Circuit des cultures

This circuit gives an insight into the plants grown in the Combe de Savoie, where plant nurseries, crops and poplar groves are interspersed along the irrigation channels and along the clean-up of the marshes that used to form the Plaine de l'Isère.

From the leisure centre car park, take the path along the canal at the end of the lake, right bank ('Promenade du Canal'), then turn left at the roundabout towards the waste disposal centre. After a pond, turn left along a path that follows the railway, until you reach St Jean de la Porte. Turn left along the departmental road for 400m (passing in front of the cemetery), then turn right along a path following the canal, staying on the same side of the canal, until you reach a crossroads with the RN6 (Monument aux Morts). The return leg follows the same route, but alternatives are possible.
