This family-style walk takes you through the ‘La Prée’ district, the oldest in Ambly, where you can admire some magnificent period buildings dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. Then, just before entering the forest, there's a magnificent panorama of the surrounding countryside on your right. About 2.5km along the forest path, on your left, is the ‘Demanet Cross’, marking the site of a heinous crime committed over 300 years ago (see explanatory panel). On the way back down to your starting point, you will follow ‘Le chemin au naturel’, a biodiversity development project run by the local school, with various educational panels on flora and fauna.
