Very good physical and technical level. A tiring route with a succession of climbs, rewarded by beautiful downhill sections.
A figure-of-eight circuit in the Hérival forest starting from the Grange Puton.
Climb a wide path and some single tracks to the Chalet des Gardes. Take a wide path in the Bois de Sapenois, then a fast single track to the Chalet de chasse. From here the climb begins between tracks and small paths typical of the Vosges forest to reach the Pierre Nicole (723 m). Crossing the Tête des Champs Carré between tracks and small roads, you can admire the magnificent views of the Girmont Val d'Ajol. A quick descent to Peutet (641 m) then a series of small roads in the forest to reach Olichamp, then Pré Peureux. From here a succession of magnificent single tracks begin, which will delight those who love riding, arriving at the Fort du Parmont. Passing along the caponieres to admire this historic structure. Nice downhill run to reach the Grand Rhumont.
Climb the Bambois to find a winding and very playful descent. Cross the road, return to the Chalet de Chasse then by a wide path and a few trails back to Remiremont.

La roche tocquaine

At an altitude of 660 m, these pink sandstone blocks overlook the valley and dominate the path below by about ten metres. Between the trees, you can see the Fossard massif, the village of Dommartin-lès-Remiremont. After a contemplative break on the bench, the walker retraces his steps for about twenty metres and takes this time the path that starts on his left. The descent is easy and we arrive under the Tocquaine rock. A true monument of nature that takes on its full scope here. Access by foot from the Chalet des Gardes

Tourbière de la Demoiselle

The Demoiselle peat bog site is a favourable environment for protected species, both plant and entomological. The peat bog is a real centre of interest for the reproduction of entomofauna, since seven animal species of national interest and two others of regional interest can be found there. It is therefore a real educational site that should be made known to the general public and this is why the first work was undertaken in 2022 with the installation of a wooden grating.
