The Frioul archipelago is made up of several islands and islets. This hike takes in the largest, the island of Pomègues.
The outward distance is 2.6 km. As the same path is used for the return, the total distance is 5.2 km.
Starting from the end of the Berry dike, you follow a wide path that takes you to a point overlooking Caveaux Point, the end of the island. Along the way, you'll enjoy numerous views of various monuments and military relics: the fort of Pomègues, the old port now home to an aquaculture farm, the semaphore, the creeks and the impressive Caveaux battery.
