Col de la Tribale via Ganges and Sumène

This route takes you along typical Cevennes roads.

You'll start off on the D999 to Ganges, which you'll bypass to join the road to Sumène. From there, you'll head gently up the Rieutord valley, winding through meandering roads and over bridges that span the river.

After around ten kilometers, the road leaves the river bank and climbs through chestnut trees to the typical village of St Martial, before continuing up to the Col de la Tribale.

The descent to Notre Dame de la Rouvière offers views over the Hérault valley to the D986 junction, which takes you back to Pont d'Hérault and then Le Vigan on the D999.
