


This downhill route joins the small resort of Le Mourtis in Saint-Béat via easy tracks and paths through beautiful forests. Along the way, exceptional views of the highest mountains in the Pyrenees provide a pleasant backdrop to this descent.

1 - Depart from the Mourtis station, Artigue car park. Take the forest road towards the Col de l'Artigascou.
2 - At the pass, take the track on the right that climbs slightly above the hut to the Col d'Artigaux.
3 - Follow the forest track downhill to Melles and then Fos - Melles Botanical Garden
4 - Cross the village of Fos and cross the N125 to follow the canal along a path on the Transgarona route, which will take you to Saint-Béat. In season, shuttle buses are available to take cyclists back up to Le Mourtis.
