Hike to Le Dard waterfall

Le Dard is a superb waterfall towering 20 meters high at an altitude of 1,233 meters. It offers a beautiful viewpoint about 45 minutes from the centre of Chamonix. View over the Aiguilles Rouges range, the Les Bossons glacier and Mont-Blanc.From Le Grepon car park in Chamonix, turn right on the "Chemin à Batioret » path that leads to the Fabrique des Sonnettes Devouassoud bell workshop by Route Blanche. Cross the footbridge over the torrent and climb up towards Les Molliasses. Ignore the forest track on the left, and turn right as far as the Tunnel access road. Follow it for 50 meters or so then head left along the short cut for a short distance. Continue uphill through the woods, ignoring the path on the right that comes from Les Pélerins. Take the footbridge over the Dard stream and carry on up to the chalet.

View on the Aiguilles Rouges chain, the Bossons glacier and the Mont-Blanc.The Cascade du Dard restaurant offers a varied menu featuring home-made dishes based on local produce (cheese, charcuterie, wine...) and recipes from our region: Fondue, reblochonnade, and the famous "Farçon de mamie", a recipe handed down from generation to generation. But also salads, crêpes, omelettes, tarts... for a quick stopover. The chalet is open every day from June to September, and on Tuesday evenings in July and August.

Long term surface parking. 800 spaces in summer and 500 spaces in winter. 14 parking spaces for people with reduced mobility.Located at the entrance to Chamonix, the Centre-ville parking lot, formerly known as Le Grépon, is served by public transport. It's just a 5-minute walk from the town center. Please note that camping cars are not permitted. The height limit is 2m. Ideally located for access to the Aiguille du Midi cable car.

Parking of the Cascade du Dard.Located before the entrance of the Mont-Blanc Tunnel, this parking lot allows you to reach the Dard waterfall and its refreshment bar in 5 minutes on foot.
