Trail accessible in winter.
A pleasant short walk through woodland that takes you up to old summer barns with a unique view of Luchon. At the right time of year, the trail is fragrant with wild garlic, which can be eaten (in moderation) in cakes, omelettes or pesto!
Start from the Pont des Mousquère bridge at the end of Avenue Jean Jaurès. You will reach the fork for the Soupère barns. Continue straight ahead and then, at Pré de Houga, the winding track will take you back to the starting point.
1 - At the Pont des Mousquère car park (650m), take the track that climbs slightly up the right bank of the One. Follow it to a small metal footbridge. Cross the footbridge and continue along the path. The path climbs up to the left.
2 - Follow the path through the forest until you reach the steep ""stairs""! You can see the pretty village of Trébons.
3 - Further on, at the intersection in front of you, turn left. The path climbs slightly and turns right to the barns of Soupère, former summer barns. Walk there and back, then return to the intersection.
4 - Continue straight ahead towards Luchon and the Houga barns (sign). As you pass, you will have a unique view of Luchon. Cross the footbridge over the Gourron stream, then the path climbs again.
5 - At the intersection, turn left and the path descends. You will arrive at the Pré de Houga (850m), where sheep are often grazing.
6 - The trail then becomes a winding track that will take you back to the starting point.
