Road closed from 30/11 to 15/04, trail inaccessible.
A very pleasant, shaded walk for the whole family in the Hospice de France area.
Only accessible in summer, this hike offers an unexpected view of one of the region's winter sports resorts!
Start in front of the Hospice de France inn and follow the wide track towards the Cabane de Pesson. At the junction with Fontaine Rouge, continue straight ahead. At the cabin, cross the footbridge to return to the other bank.

Detailed stages
1 - From the Hospice de France inn, follow the signs for ""Fontaine Rouge"" and ""Cabane de Pesson"". The track is wide, shaded and easy to walk on. You will follow the stream, which will provide some welcome refreshment in summer.
2 - When you reach a junction (1,449 m), leave the path leading to the Campsaure plateau on your left and continue straight ahead.
3 - A few minutes later, you will leave the forest and see the hut.
4 - Depending on the water level, you can either cross the ford or take the small bridge a little further on. On your left, you will see the path leading to the Frêche ponds. Take a short break by the water, then set off again on the track on the left bank. After a short climb, you will descend to the edge of the woods.
5 - After crossing a ford under the Penjat footbridge (1,441 m), turn right to return to the starting point.
