Family walk - The Neufs-Bois area and its ponds

This short hike offers you to spend a nice time in the heart of the Chaume des Neufs-Bois natural classified site and its three ponds. A green setting that offers pretty views. Access: from the tourist office, follow the road N66 and turn right, after the bridge,on the road D90, towards the Rouge Gazon. Duration: 2 hours. Length: 6 km. Elevation: +275 meters. Departure: parking lot at the Rouge Gazon hotel-restaurant. Please take notice that the hotel-restaurant is closed this yearFrom the car park, take the path in opposite of the hotel-restaurant which overlooks the road by which you arrived. Walk 600 meters and, at the intersection, continue on the path following Saint-Maurice by the Sentier bleu Les Charbonniers. Continue for 300 meters and turn right towards Bussang (mountain bike route 15). Follow this trail for approximately 1 km. Discover the Chaume des Neufs-Bois above, on the left below, the first Neufs-Bois pond. To reach the Chaume des Neufs-Bois, go on the path right. On the left side, a wooden sign indicates the thatch. Continue straight ahead, do not take the path on your right. Arriving at the thatch of Neufs-Bois, enjoy the quietness and the beauty of the landscapes ... Then retrace your steps, go to the first pond and follow the path to the right which runs along this pond. Follow this path always straight ahead, walk along the second pond and go to the third one below. After a well-deserved break in this green paradise, retrace your steps and take the path between the first and second pond. Enter in the forest. After about 500 meters, look to the right and admire the thatch of Neufs-Bois in opposite. After about 1 km, you arrive at the Col des Mineurs (board). Take the path completely to the left (mountain bike route 17 and 18). A few hundred meters further, crossing ... Do not take the path on the left, go straight.
