Description

A journey to meet the local fauna and flora through different landscapes and atmospheres. From the forests to the mountain pastures, passing by the vertiginous dolomitic cliffs of the Aiguille Rousse, discover the multiple facets of the mountain!

Board the new Vallandry gondola and at the top, discover the local flora and fauna at the new Museum of Mountain Animals. Continue your observation outside to the 2300 contemplation area, legitimately named "Balcony on the Vanoise". Thanks to the binoculars provided free of charge, observe the animals in real conditions (marmots and bearded vultures most often). But nothing beats the breathtaking view, which must be earned, from the top of the Entreporte pass! Aiguille Rousse, Aiguille Grive, Bellecôte and Aliet are just waiting to be seen! Your ultimate reward after a steep climb: the descent to the Rossets mountain pasture where you can certainly meet the GAEC Alpin de Peisey-Nancroix farmers and their Tarine cows who have come to graze at altitude. Some of them have even won prizes at the Paris Agricultural Show! You will be charmed by their eyes covered in black make-up, a natural protection against the sun.
