Access to the refuge des Marche from the Prec parking

This dam, which cannot be visited, will nevertheless offer a wonderfull point of view on surrounding mountains.The Bissorte Dam is a gravity dam, built from 1930 to 1935 to supply a hydroelectric plant capable of generating 75 megawatts of power. It offers an amazing view on the surrounding mountains. Access via the Prec forest trail (accessible by car), which starts from La Praz, to the Prec car park and then by walking about 1h. Possibility to combine your trek with a night at the Refuge des Marches.

This comfortable chalet-style refuge, can accommodate up to 24 people in a friendly atmosphere. Single dormitory intimate alcoves.
